Welcome to the College of
Nursing BSN Web-site.
The College of Nursing offers a baccalaureate degree in
professional nursing at the UAMS campus in Little Rock, Arkansas
and at the UAMS off-campus site at the University of Arkansas
Community College at Hope, Arkansas (UACCH).
The College is fully accredited by the National League for Nursing
(NLN) and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The College is
committed to the policy of providing educational opportunities to
all qualified students regardless of their economic or social
status, and does not discriminate on the basis of disabilities,
race, color, sex, creed, or national origin.
Extracurricular activities of the College support
classroom experiences and build professional relationships,
teamwork, and pride through the Student Nurses Association,
Sigma Theta Tau
International (the international
honor society of nurses), and other professional nursing
organizations.
The baccalaureate program prepares highly competent
nurses for professional careers. Graduates
give state of the art nursing care in ambulatory, acute care, and
long-term settings to individuals, families, and communities.
At the completion of the program, BSN graduates are eligible to
take the state board examination for licensure.
